Project Challenge

Description:

According to their website: "Project Challenge is a program through Children's Hospital of Michigan created in 1999 in order to coordinate and provide a wide variety of services for children infected or affected by HIV. Specifically, the Project Challenge Mentoring Program utilizes caring adult volunteers to assist in building confidence and self esteem in the children we serve. Many children affected by HIV have lost their biological parents or are being raised by single mothers, grandparents or foster parents. Often, a mentor could fill a missing piece in their childhood."
